Meet Stefanie Goldenberg

Stefanie Goldenberg  has a passion for learning and education. She considers herself a ‘word-nerd,’ often found pouring over books and highlighting passages for fun. From the time she was a little girl, she was narrating stories with her dolls and living blissfully in the world of imagination. As a student in secondary school and on through college - where she pursued an English degree - she fell in love with the way words mingled to describe, illuminate or settle into a forceful argument. Even highly technical writing, and its ability to elicit critical thinking, excites her. Words are powerful; their possibilities and combinations are endless.

With over 15 years of classroom teaching experience, ranging from Washington Heights to the Upper East Side, she’s worked with all types of learners. From gifted students, who have gone on to specialized highschools and top tier colleges, to learners with IEPS and 504s, Stefanie has the experience to swiftly dive in, evaluate, and formulate a learning plan for all types of students. Her years of professional development, under the guidance of an award winning administration, have given her the tools to integrate strategies with both expertise and compassion. She holds a master’s degree in English Education from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Emory University. As both a classroom teacher and a tutor, she has helped many students reach their potential and surpass their goals.
